Business and Information Systems
Online Courses

Online BIS courses provide an opportunity for College of Marin students to complete Credit Courses without the need to attend on-campus lectures or labs. Students must have an e-mail address, Internet connection and sufficient Internet experience to be able to use a Web browser to fill out forms, download files and navigate Web sites. In some cases, students may be required to install textbook software on their computers to facilitate the use of course materials. There are no on-campus attendance requirements for these courses unless otherwise noted.

Online and on-campus courses with the same Course Number and Name (e.g. CIS 110 - Introduction to Computer Information Systems) cover the same materials and satisfy the same transfer, degree and certificate requirements. When both on-campus and online sections are offered during the semester, online students may attend on-campus lectures or labs on a "drop-in" basis with the permission of both instructors.
